Wow the last week has been such a learning process. Learned a lot while we were on Polly watch and then to be there for the actual birth was a whole other experience. I am so glad that I didn’t miss it and cannot give enough thanks and love to Kim and Mark of Samhain Kennels.
The litter was born on Monday February 20, 2011. Polly started pushing around 12:45pm and had the last puppy around 6:45pm. I had been telling Polly Friday at lunch would be great but I guess Monday at lunch is just as good.
First born- Skittles (14.0 oz)- female- very pretty little girl- I love the fact that her black ear has white / silver tip to it
Next up… York (13.7 oz)- Male — I can’t wait to see him grow up. He was born with so much brindles points.
And then…. Ms Twix (13.7 oz)- mini Liam- a big huge black stripe on one side just like him.
Next up… Musketeer (14.6 oz)- male – Can’t wait to see if that color surrounds his eye
After a little while… Tootsie (12.8 oz) female- mismark and the “smallest” of the bunch. Smallest being a relative term in a litter with such big birth weights. Immediately available to a companion/pet home due to lack of pigmentation surrounding her eyes
Next to show up… Kisses (13.8 oz)- female- the little doll. She reminds of Liam in color as a baby and I am so excited to see her grow up.
Last but not least… Snickers (13.5 oz)- male- his color is so intriguing to me. He would be the best mix of mom and dad.
Between Kisses and Snickers there was a puppy that was stillborn. We tried to resuscitate but were unsuccessful. He was a pretty blue boy. Was a very sad and hard time for me. I knew that the potential of it happening was there but wasn’t ready for it to become real. I still tear up over the little guy.
Had it not been for Mark and Kim there would have been so many other things that could have gone wrong. I don’t think I could ever do it on my own, it is overwhelming.
If interested on being added to a waiting list please feel free to contact and I will get back to you shortly.

Check, or have a picture taken, under Snickers tail. those very well could be tan points you have there. i was told Fig was brindle pointed and it was under the tail that was the true sign. he looked to have brindle striping on his facial markings, but you saw his pictures later. No doubt. When are they going to go home?
During the process there was discussion on the tan vs brindle points. I don’t remember what the final verdict was (was a really long, mentally exhausting day). I am leaning towards tan but don’t fully understand what Liam and Polly carry to pass on in regards to brindle vs tan.
They will be coming down here around 4 weeks old.
Congrats on a beautiful healthy litter. Lovely coloration all the way around. So many nice litters hitting the ground lately. Makes me want my own.
Can’t wait to watch these “sweet” puppies grow up.
